Combadge from Voyager, DS9, and Generations

This screen-used combadge was used in Voyager and Deep Space Nine, and the style was first introduced in the movie Generations. It's made from resin, with metalic paint, and features hook-and-loop fastener on the back to attach it to actors' uniforms. There's a number on the back in marker, which was used to help track the combadge props as they were given to extras on the shows. (Too many were being stolen!) The prop is about 2 inches by 2 inches. Since DS9 is my favorite series, I tend to think of this as a DS9 combadge -- but that's just me. :)

About the collector

Brian Stilman

? I'm a Star Trek fan and collector focusing mostly on TNG and DS9 props and production items. I love iconic pieces from individual episodes, but I'm also attracted to props that help with the overall world-building. I'm part of the film and TV industry, and I'm really into behind-the-scenes and production items, too. ? I'm a documentary producer and director, and work mostly on pop-history features and series. Most relevant to my collecting interests: I'm a producer on "The Toys That Made Us," and I've contributed to "The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek," "The Movies That Made Us," and "Unearthed Icons." It's always fun talking to people who've had a hand in creating these worlds I care so much about. ? I enjoy collecting vintage Japanese toys from the 1940s through 1980s, and original science fiction and fantasy artwork. I also play a lot—a LOT—of Dungeons & Dragons and other games. Basically, I'm a big ol' geek and proud of it!
