One of the best prop replicas is celebrating 22 years, so we felt it’s a good idea to take a closer look at it. Check out our video review.

Based on the prop from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, this authentically detailed, fully functional replica came complete with a removable clip and type-1 phaser, as well as realistic lights and sounds digitally recorded directly from the films. It’s a limited edition of 2,000 pieces that includes a display case and certificate of authenticity. When assembled, the Phaser measures 7 1/2-inches tall x 3-inches wide x 6 1/4-inches long. Created from digital scans of the original props, this fabulous reproduction is meticulously made of die-cast metal and plastic, to give you that perfect artifact from the future that you crave so much.

The peacefaring United Federation of Planets carried around some astoundingly deadly tools… like the phaser. These lethal weapons were capable of power adjustment, allowing for intensity and even speed to be altered, depending on the intended function. They featured numerous settings, including “stun,” “vaporize,” and “kill,” but even “stun” was potentially fatal at close range. Moreover, the phaser of this era actually functioned like real 20th-century weapons. The addition of removable clips in the handle not only added realism, but actually allowed the Starfleet crew to run out of ammunition for the first time.

If you have one of the 2000 pieces consider yourself lucky as this item can easily sell for 1000$+.

Hey, my name is Jakub, I’m from Czech Republic (Europe) and I’ve been a Trekkie for over 30 years My collecting carrier started when I got an issue of German magazine back in the 90s. After that it was a wild ride when I was collecting anything, I could get my hands on – it was a different time, and it was very hard to get Star Trek related stuff. My collection narroved over the years and I’m focused only on screen used props and costumes, high end replicas and Exo-6 figures. I’m focused only on Starfleet stuff mainly different devices and uniforms. Being a huge prop fan and owning a business in propmaking for movies and TV shows, I came with the idea of bringing STprops.com to life.
